Missing Work


Although I should thank my students for refusing to do their work because it made grading go quickly today, I'm frustrated with the lack of concern.  I'm also frustrated because my classes grades are horrible and conferences are Thursday.  To alleviate class discussion about grades and missing assignments, I created a form and document stating procedures to improve their grade on this individual assignment and e-mailed it to each student.  My guess is that most students won't do anything about it until they (and their parent) meet with me Thursday, but at least I have a plan which requires effort from the student at that time.

The good news is that the Iowa State women defeated #3 Texas at Hilton today, and the men are currently leading West Virginia.  Go 'Clones!

I like that you gave them a checklist. I'm about t go into school to finish up report cards, grade some papers, write some lesson plans. It will be an all day affair. It can be done, right???

What if... The Delivery

  Molly was excited to get a package from her friend who lives in Alaska.  When she opened the box, she was confused.  Although the shirt was actually soft and of good quality, she was upset by the guns in the flag.  When she googled Holster's, it was exactly what she thought... pro-gun.  She didn't know how to handle the situation, so she sent a picture stating she was confused. Her friend had obviously lost her mind.  During the conversation, she kept proclaiming that she hadn't sent a t-shirt.  When Molly explained it was her writing on the box, things became weird.  The friend was in a state of denial.  Molly even sent a text with a picture of the writing on the box.
