Sometimes I don't post because I don't have a picture. It's lame, but I really like using an image. This evening, however, I've been thinking of my last hour class and felt the need to post. My last hour class is irritating. I mean really, really irritating. They (especially three boys) don't know when to shut up. It's the last hour of the day, and there's always a lot of unwanted touching (in a seventh grade annoying type of way), talking, and other off task behavior. Today was no different. Several times I stopped to class to remind them it was Friday, and no one wanted to have to stay after school with me on a Friday. "It's Friday. I just want to go home. You just want to go home. No one wants to stay after and talk to me." At one point, I thought today's class could go "off the rails." When the class turned into a call and response atmosphere, I knew it had happened. After each point I made, they gave an enthusiastic "yeah." At one point, I literally stopped them and told them I felt like I should say, "Can I get an amen?" to which I received a resounding "Amen." The problem with hating this class is they are so energetic, and when it's time to work, they actually get to work. Believe me. I want to hate them because they are so irritating, but they're really a fun group of individuals. Can I get an amen?
Today I went back to the interweb to find out what I could post about that would relate to sankalpa . Since it's cold and miserable out, I've been being active inside instead of outside. December 6th (or something like that) was the last time I ventured outside for physical activity. I, however, have still been going to they gym and focusing on being physically fit (or at least burning enough calories to eat more food). Yesterday I received an early morning text from a friend in God's Country . President Obama was talking about "The President's Challenge" . Today (I tried yesterday and decided to put it off until today... forget out it... let it happen... put it aside... clear my mind of it... all probably sankalpa) I formed a group. The...
