Another thing I learned about at one of my tech sessions on Monday was a remote for my computer, and therefore Smartboard, was an app called HippoRemote. Yesterday I downloaded it at lunch and played around with it during my afternoon classes. This morning a student asked me about it. His brother was in an afternoon class and had told him about it. Since he asked, I pulled my phone out of the bag and gave a demonstration. "Why aren't you using it today?" I was asked. My answer was simple, "I only have two slides. It's a work day. I'm not talking. You're working." I'm not sure this was satisfactory, but work happened. Normally, they'd be thrilled that I wasn't talking.
