Our first outing in Boston was The Freeom Trail. We had a wonderful app that told us about each stop on the trail. As we were debating about going into the first cemetery, I witnessed a man urinating among the headstones. Unfortunately, I didn't take a photo. It would have been a great addition to the days pics. My favorite part of the trail was actually the holocaust memorial. At first it seemed strange that the memorial, would be close to the trail. The inscription explained. Basically, we were asked to think about the consequences of one group persecuting another as we walked the trail. It was powerful. The columns each represented a concentration camp (smoke stacks). On the glass was a quote. Behind the quote were numbers representing the numbers tattooed on each individual. It is a must see in Boston.
Today I went back to the interweb to find out what I could post about that would relate to sankalpa . Since it's cold and miserable out, I've been being active inside instead of outside. December 6th (or something like that) was the last time I ventured outside for physical activity. I, however, have still been going to they gym and focusing on being physically fit (or at least burning enough calories to eat more food). Yesterday I received an early morning text from a friend in God's Country . President Obama was talking about "The President's Challenge" .
