During my prep period today I was visited by two people whom I have the utmost respect. Both were frustrated for different reasons. The first was an esteemed colleague, and I totally understood the frustration. It seems horrible, but I was a bit content that I was not the only one with concerns with our students' inability to think. The next person was someone who I am always honored to be a "sounding board." One thing this person mentioned in the conversation was, "I did a M..." This is translated, "I said exactly what was on my mind even though..." I'm not sure if I should take this as a compliment although I did. Maybe I should also admit that I was happy that on this Friday my day was frustration free.
Today I went back to the interweb to find out what I could post about that would relate to sankalpa . Since it's cold and miserable out, I've been being active inside instead of outside. December 6th (or something like that) was the last time I ventured outside for physical activity. I, however, have still been going to they gym and focusing on being physically fit (or at least burning enough calories to eat more food). Yesterday I received an early morning text from a friend in God's Country . President Obama was talking about "The President's Challenge" .
