I do not really like to shop. Online shopping really is my preference. When I have visited the outlet mall in Medford, I usually have good luck. I find something that fits at either The Gap or Eddie Bauer at a decent price because I hate to pay extreme prices for clothing. Since the outlet mall in Albertville is much larger, approximately one mile driving distance from one end to the other using my odometer, I asked a friend if she wanted to go there this afternoon. To my amazement, it was packed. We had to park off the side of the road to find a spot. Getting in and out of the parking lot required long waits and lots of patience. Like many other people we faced the cold and wind to go shopping. Everytime we would go into a new shop I was overwhelmed by the hoards of people. Certainly it was too early for holiday shopping. Every store seemed to be having a sale. Actually everything was on sale except for the pants I bought! Even though we had fun, I would never had made the trip if I would have anticpated the number of people. Typically I shop early for Christmas presents to avoid the crowds. I never would have dreamed of starting this early and still not avoiding the crowds. After all today was about me and not about holiday shopping. The only thing I can imagine is that the sales/crowds were because of Veteran's Day. Isn't it an American tradition to have a sale anytime there is an official three day weekend?

Since it's cold and miserable out, I've been being active inside instead of outside. December 6th (or something like that) was the last time I ventured outside for physical activity. I, however, have still been going to they gym and focusing on being physically fit (or at least burning enough calories to eat more food). Yesterday I received an early morning text from a friend in God's Country . President Obama was talking about "The President's Challenge" . Today (I tried yesterday and decided to put it off until today... forget out it... let it happen... put it aside... clear my mind of it... all probably sankalpa) I formed a group. The...
